Crash Bash

Crash Bash is a 2000 party game developed by Eurocom and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. Part of the Crash Bandicoot series, it was the final title in the franchise to be published by Sony before the series' transition into a multiplatform release.

Crash Bandicoot follows the adventures of the title character, a genetically-enhanced eastern barred bandicoot created by the evil Doctor Neo Cortex. In Crash Bash, the spirits Aku Aku and Uka Uka decide on holding a contest between good and evil through party mini-games.

Unlike previous games which featured either platform gameplay or racing mechanics, Crash Bash focuses on completing party mini-games in single-player, cooperative or multiplayer up to four players.

Crash Bash received generally mixed reviews upon its release. Critics praised the game's value when played with other people and positively remarked on the visuals and audio, but criticized the gameplay for being shallow and unoriginal and considering the title to be overall less enjoyable when played by one person. The game found commercial success, selling over 300,000 copies in the United Kingdom.
