LittleBigPlanet 2 is a 2011 puzzle-platform video game developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. It is the sequel to 2008's LittleBigPlanet and the second main installment in the LittleBigPlanet series.

Development on LittleBigPlanet 2 began in 2008 soon after the first game's release, with Media Molecule confirming its existence in May 2010. Media Molecule originally expressed disapproval at the idea of a sequel due to its potential of fracturing the first game's playerbase, which led to the decision to allow previous player-made levels to be played in the sequel. The game was originally set to be released in November 2010, but was pushed to January 2011.

LittleBigPlanet 2 was released to universal acclaim, with several outlets recognizing it as one of 2011's best titles. Praise was directed at the visuals, soundtrack and overall expansion of its predecessor's concepts and ideas, while criticism was brought up regarding imperfections with the controls and relative lack of innovation. The game was nominated for several accolades, and was commercially successful, becoming one of the most popular games on the console for 2011. A sequel, LittleBigPlanet 3, was released in 2014.
