Neil Druckmann is an Israeli-American video game writer, designer, programmer and creative director best known for his work with video game studio Naughty Dog. Since 2020 he serves as Naughty Dog's co-president alongside Evan Wells, and previously served as a lead game designer and later as vice president.
Druckmann is best known for his work on the Uncharted series and being one of the creators of The Last of Us alongside his former partner Bruce Straley. Druckmann served as a writer and designer on 2007's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves before leading development on 2013's The Last of Us. He was also the creative director of 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and The Last of Us Part II, the latter being his first project following Straley's departure from Naughty Dog.
Druckmann received considerable praise for his work, particularly for The Last of Us and A Thief's End. His work on The Last of Us Part II was also largely praised for its nuance and characterization, though also attracted polarized reactions regarding the themes and pacing.
