SN Systems is a British software, programming tools and game development company based in Bristol, England. It was founded in 1990 by Andy Beveridge and Martin Day, and primarily specializing in Microsoft Windows-based development tools for software published for a variety of PlayStation products and previously to other consoles and gaming platforms. It is a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
In its early years, SN Systems had a working relation with publisher and developer Psygnosis, which was acquired by Sony in 1994. Psygnosis introduced SN Systems to Sony's executives from Japan, who soon adapted SN Systems' development systems over their own in-house workstations. In 2005, Sony acquired SN Systems.
SN Systems has satellite offices in Campbell, California and Dublin, Ireland.
